Kevin Brager is the Founder and CEO of LRZ Consulting, LLC. Kevin started LRZ Consulting with the goal of bringing unique and efficient, best-in-class accounting solutions built for the 21st century to small and middle-market companies in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia region. Kevin began his career auditing publicly-traded and large commercial companies, where he developed a strong technical accounting background and an understanding of world-class internal control systems and business processes. He then joined a local CPA firm where he focused on providing financial statement audits and reviews, as well as corporate tax return services, to small and middle-market companies primarily in the government contracting, construction, technology/software and professional services industries.
During that time, he saw a significant void in the market for quality outsourced accounting and consulting services. To address these needs, he began providing outsourced accounting services, where he served as controller for multiple commercial companies and built solutions around each customer’s needs. He also began providing consulting services to prepare companies for potential acquisitions, due diligence support, and training for internal accounting personnel on systems and processes. He brings together this unique background and skillset to help businesses improve profitability and scale for growth through their accounting and finance function.
Kevin also has extensive knowledge within the government contracting industry. He helps companies set up their accounting systems, migrate to Unanet & CostPoint, develop indirect rate structures, and prepare for DCAA compliance. He also supports the pricing, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting functions for small and middle-market government contractors.
